God Given Rights

There are rights we as a human race have, God given rights, not government granted rights. What I am seeing today is our government, taking it upon themselves, to regulate even the most basic of human God given rights, one being the right of self defense.

The criminal class in our society use weapons to accomplish their evil intentions against those who follow basic human law. The weapon of choice by the criminal element is a fire arm. Under our God given right of self-defense we have the right to own weapons to defend against any assault upon ourselves, our family, friends and neighbors. Yet our elected government officials ignore our God given rights and regulate the possession and carry of a fire arm to a selected few. You must have a carry permit to possess a fire arm for self defense, if you cannot afford the fee for the government permit and then use a fire arm to defend yourself or others you will be treated as a criminal and may go to jail and loose the chance to even own a fire arm legally forever under government regulation.

Government expansion into our basic human rights needs to stop and we need to stop acting like a bunch of sheep. We need to stop rationalizing laws that restrict or eliminate our God given rights as OK because a law intended or advertised to stop the criminal wasn’t meant to hurt the law abiding citizen but in reality infringes upon our God given rights.

The ability to carry any weapon you feel comfortable with to affect an adequate personal defense is not something our government should be able to regulate. I am reminded of a quote, " A gun in the hands of a bad man is a bad thing, A gun in the hands of a good man is a danger to no one except a bad man."

We must compel our elected representatives to stop the intrusion into our God given rights. Our government needs to be restricted to only act as outlined in the documents we instituted defining our protections. Our Constitution and Bill of Rights is not open to a broad interpretation to enhance government control over the population in this country and if allowed to continue will result in the very thing we fought a revolution against, governmental tyranny.

Safety, Ours or Theirs

Our governments do not have any obligations for our personal safety, the responsibility of government is for public safety in general. The greatest danger to an armed deranged murderer is an armed public. The greatest danger to an out of control government is an armed public. You have to ask yourself this question, why does a segment of our leaders want the public disarmed? For our safety or theirs?
